Late Late Show Highlights

Craig was on tour last week in Philadelphia and New York. He’s back in the office now. Let’s check in on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and see how he’s doing.

Due to a busy show Craig merged the pre-opening credit segment with the desk segment. It was ok, but not entertaining enough to post the clip.

There were plenty of good monologue jokes. Here were my favorite:

The movie Paranormal Activity 2 is the number one movie in the country. Critics say this is the scariest thing you’ll see all year…unless you get a text from Bret Favre.

There’s more bad news for Bret Favre. He’s got a swollen ankle from the game last night and it turns out its broken. Doctors wanted to take x-rays but Brett’s wife wouldn’t allow any pictures below the waist so they’re in a quandary.

I will warn you though if you want to learn more about this story be careful when you Google the words “Bret,” “Favre” and “swollen.” And by “careful” I mean do it, it’s awesome.

Not a great day in France. Everyone’s on strike. The train conductors are on strike. The air traffic controllers are on strike. This week the garbage men joined in. There are huge piles of garbage rotting in the streets. It smells like Randy Quaid has moved in.

The reason for this massive strike is the French government wants to raise the retirement age to 62. Right now in France it’s currently 27. No, the current retirement age is 60, and the French aren’t too happy about working another two years. For the average Frenchman that works out to be an additional ten hours.

The new poll says that President Sarkozy is one of the most unpopular French presidents ever. He’s only supported by 31% of his mistresses.

Dr. Condoleezza Rice was the first couch guest. She is the former Secretary of State, currently teaches at Stanford and has written a new book. The interview was good. Craig went easy on her, which makes sense and I completely understand, but it’s still a little weird.

Joe Theismann was the second couch guest. Joe was an NFL quarterback and is now a sportscaster. The interview was great. Craig was able to finally let loose with a guest after being so reserved with Condi.

The closing segment was short and quite funny:

Great show. I give it:
