Late Night Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:

Yesterday on Meet The Press Colin Powel said that President Obama has lost some of his ability to connect with people. When asked for a comment, Obama said, “Smeet blarb.”

There are rumors going around that Facebook is building a cell phone. It’s pretty cool, except you can only use it to call people you barely remember from high school.

The koala population is apparently facing a chlamydia epidemic. Or, as veterinarians put it, “A severe itch down under.”

During a town hall speech today President Obama said it’s premature to say that John Boehner is going to be the next Speaker of the House. And that makes sense. The last thing any guy wants is a premature Boehner.

The desk segments were Monkey Shoot and Audience Suggestion Box. The Late Night crew put a lot of work into both segments; unfortunately neither one was very entertaining.

Julianna Margulies was the first couch guest. She stars on the show The Good Wife. The interview was great. Julianna was a ton of fun. She and Jimmy had great chemistry. For the second part of the interview they played a game called Musical Instrument. It was really hilarious and is worth watching:

Cory Monteith was the second couch guest. He’s on the show Glee. He was pretty cool, but his time went by in a flash. I wish the interview could have been longer. Here’s a clip:

Superchunk was the musical guest. They rocked it pretty hard.

Good show. I give it:
