Late Late Show Highlights

Under the wire I present to you a review of last night’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Sid was the star of the pre-opening credit segment and was absolutely fabulous. It must, must, must be watched:

Here were my favorite monologue jokes:

Here the California the state legislators are considering a bill that would allow electronic advertisements around license plates. That’s dangerous. When I’m driving I don’t want anything to distract me from when I’m texting.

It’s summer solstice today. That’s right. Today is the longest day of the year and also shortest night of the year. Coincidence?

Since the time of the Druids the bonfire has been a big part of the summer solstice. The ancients believed that the bonfires scared off the dark spirits of the night. And I think, you know, even back then there was nothing good on television.

The desk segment was the usual checking of the tweets and emails. It was funny, and, as a bonus, I received advice on what to draw for a comic strip:

Maria Bello was the first couch guest. She’s in the new film Grown Ups. I really enjoyed her interview. She was very funny and held her own very well with Craig. Check it out:

DJ Qualls was the second couch guest. He is on the show Memphis Beat. The interview was better than I thought it was going to be. Both DJ and Craig said some hilarious stuff. It’s a little long, but worth watching:

The closing segment was a waste of time, but it was good for a few laughs. I’ve basically posted clips of the entire show, so why not this segment as well:

Great show. I give it:
