Tonight Night Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien:

Big news, this is exciting, earlier today the Nobel Prize for Economics was awarded to a woman for the first time ever. So congratulations Michelle Obama.

This weekend in Washington, D.C. there was a huge gay-rights rally, and one of the most popular chants was, “Hey Obama, let mama marry mama.” Yeah, historians are calling this the best gay-rights chant since, “Hey Dwight D. Eisenhower, let Mike and Steve share a shower.”

A former employee of Oprah Winfrey is claiming she was wrongfully terminated and is suing Oprah for $75,000. After hearing about it Oprah said, “Seventy-five thousand dollars? That is adorable.”

The majority of the desk segment was an update on Conan’s feud with the Mayor of Newark:

Jamie Foxx was the first couch guest. I think Jamie is a very talented comedian and actor, but I honestly enjoy him in small doses. The first part of the interview was good, but I’m going to skip posting the second part. You can see it here is you need a bigger Foxx fix.

Jason Alexander was the second couch guest. I’m a big fan of Jason from his days on Seinfeld. The interview was fun to watch:

Grizzly Bear was the musical guest. I had never heard of them before. They mellowed me out with a nice performance.

Good show. I give it:
