Tonight Show Highlights

A great Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien last night. Here were my favorite monologue jokes and bits:

In show business everyone is speculating what Paula Abdul’s next move is going to be. The President of ABC is being criticized cause he recently said that Paula Abdul is a huge talent and that if Fox doesn’t want her ABC would “love to get a piece of that.” When they heard this, woman’s groups were shocked and said, “Did he just call Paula Abdul a ‘huge tallent’”?

Los Angeles Clipper’s star Baron Davis recently has his laptop stolen, and he’s threatened to sue anyone who posts personal photos of him on the internet. He’s not worried about any scandalous sex photos; he’s worried about those pictures of him in a Clippers uniform.

CBS is cancelling the soap opera The Guiding Light, which began seventy-two years ago as a radio show. CBS made the decision when they realized most of the show’s viewers had already been guided towards the light.

And then there was this:

And this:

The desk segment was once again an announcement of their Conan, Please Blow Up My Car contest. He showed some videos that people have submitted of their clunkers. It’s kinda fun to watch:

Chef Gordon Ramsay was the first couch guest. Here’s the interview. It’s long, but it’s really hilarious and I think worth watching:

BJ Novak was the second couch guest. BJ is and actor and stand-up comedian currently on The Office. He is also in the new movie Inglorious Bastserds. BJ was pretty cool. He told a few stories of working with Brad Pitt and going to bars with Quentin Tarantino. The interview was good.

Willard Wigan was the third couch guest. Willard is an amazing micro sculptor. Here’s the interview, it’s worth watching to see what he’s accomplished:

Overall, I give the episode an A-.
