Late Night Highlights

Anyone see Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night?  The monologue jokes were good, but he still has a way to go on his pacing and timing. I did have two favorites worth sharing:

You know my favorite part of March Madness? The “buzzer beaters”. You know what I’m talking about? I love the buzzer beaters. When I was a little kid I use to watch the games and picture myself out there. The clocks running down, 3…2…1, and then I’d push the buzzer.

A blind man in Missouri kicked down the door to a woman’s apartment and saved her from an intruder. Reached for comment the blind man said, “I did what?”

The segments between the monologue and guests remind me of skits on SNL. Interpret that anyway you want.

Clive Owen was Fallon’s first guest tonight.  It was a good interview and the foosball bit was hilarious. I’ve been an Owen fan since Children of Men, which is on my list of my 20 favorite films of all time. And, he’s got rugged good looks to boot. I could have rugged good looks if I wanted.

Paul Tuttle, Sr. from American Chopper was on next. I don’t think I’d have the guts to interview him, however. I would wet myself if he got pissed off during our chat. I just can’t take that risk.

President Barack Obama is scheduled to be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Thursday night. I feel that it’s my patriotic duty to watch it.
